RAEGAN'S FIRST FIELD TRIP!

This morning on the way to school, Raegan noticed that the sun was a big orange ball. She said, "Mommy, look at the sun! It looks like a pumpkin without a
green thingy." (That would be a stem.) Then she added, "It's a perfect sun pumpkin for a pumpkin-patch day!"

Today was her PreK's class's field trip to the pumpkin patch. She was SO excited....as you can see in this picture:

And although she couldn't get the words out quick enough (the WHOLE ride home mind you) about the bus ride, the group she was in, the animals she fed, how she was proud to wear her new shirt with a pumpkin on it (thanks Target!), and the
real pumpkin she got to bring home...

...it was just hilarious to me that she seemed the most excited about the fact that she got to eat peanut butter and jelly, Fritos, grapes, and a juice box from a sack and not "school food!" Oh Raegan, please always find pleasure in the "small stuff!"

I know wouldn't it be great if pb&j were always that awesome!

She is a precious, precious girl! I love how excited she is about life and all the 'simple' things she gets to experience. I still can't believe how big she has gotten! 4 1/2 years has gone so very fast!

She is such a joy! We need to all enjoy how great the "small stuff" like pb&j STILL IS instead of remembering how great it WAS. Thank you Raegan for the reminder!

Kids this age, and especially Raegan are such awesome reminders to us to SLOW down and enjoy the little things! So glad it was a great experience and that she didn't have a bus drill!;)
